Horse Racing with a Difference
Once again Abbey Lodge will be hosting a Horse Race Night with a difference – the horses are only 150mm tall!!
This event, which is bound to be popular, will take place on 31st October 2026 (yes, Hallowe’en) is being held at the Lodge’s second home, Whalley Golf Club, instead of at Whalley Masonic Hall. This gives us the opportunity to invite a larger crowd of race goers in more comfortable surroundings at the same time freeing up those members who would normally look after the bar.
The doors open at 6:30pm and racing will start soon afterwards so that young families can take part. There will be a pause in the racing so that all present can enjoy a pie and peas supper with children’s menu options available.. Entrance to the racing is priced at £12.50 per adult and £6.50 for children.
With 6 horses in each race you will have plenty of options for placing your bets and hopefully win cash prizes. And there’s always the raffle.
